Date X Null
A downloadable game for Windows
Date X Null is a short comedy, romance (?) and short Visual Novel made by Nullvevo (aka me) (also the VEVO is silent because someone already took the username), where you play as a your everyday Joe who by chance encounter gets roped into some weird shenanigans featuring Null.
Besides the game shill, this game was made on a rush during the last couple of hours, and was supposed to have been published on Valentines day 2026, so if you encounter any errors, or issues, feel free to comment/let me know about them, though I can't promise I'll actually fix them, since I just want this to be a shitpost like game, where you touch once and never look back.
This game uses several assets that don't entirely belong to me, so if I forgot to credit you in the credits of the game, please let me know, and I'll fix it.
Endings
There are a total of 6 endings, most of which you can get at the beginning, and unfortunately there is no tracker for you to tell how many endings you've got total, so have fun!
Controls
Continue dialogue - Left Click/Space/Enter - South Button (Gamepad)
Save - S Key - West Button (Gamepad)
Load - L Key - North Button (Gamepad)
History Tab - Tab - Left Stick Press/L3 (Gamepad)
Exit/Cance/Leave - Escape Key - East Button (Gamepad) (use this when navigating the UI)

The game was zipped using 7zip, so any zipping program capable enough of unzipping this file format should be able to do so (like winrar, 7zip, etc).

we ALL cracking null with this one
not sure if I'm doing something wrong or smth but I literally can't get past the first dialogue box (clicking on the little arrow doesn't work, neither does clicking on the box itself, pressing enter, pressing space, or pressing numpad enter). Also fun fact, you can't close the credits if you open them lmao (or at least I couldn't :p)
Will post a controls description update once I can but the controls are pretty simple, the buttons you've clicked should've worked (at least space and enter should've), could you please try and send me the log of the game? It should be %APPDATA%../LocalLow/Nullvevo/Date X Null/Player.log. That should help me find out what your issue could be. And also could you tell me what other buttons are/aren't working (like loading, saving, and history)?
Edit: Also in order to leave UI/Tabs and such press the Escape Key on keyboard or East Button on Gamepad (I've updated the game page so you should be able to see the controls there now).
